- Fiber optic cable - REQUIRED: 1.- 37 48 CLOSURE SPECIFICATIONS 1. YOU MUST HAVE ALL THE PARTS, ACCESSORIES AND MATERIALS NECESSARY TO LEAVE THE SPICE CLOSURE PROPERLY INSTALLED AND OPERATING CORRECTLY. 2. CLOSURES FOR SPLICING IN FIBER OPTICAL CABLE SHALL BE APPLICABLE FOR A NETWORK WITH POLYETHYLENE COVER CABLES, FOR BOTH THE OVERHEAD NETWORK AND UNDERGROUND NETWORK (CABLE DUCT). 3. IT MUST ALLOW ACCESS TO AT LEAST FOUR (4) CIRCULAR ENTRIES AND ONE OVAL AND THAT INCLUDE ALL ACCESSORIES FOR EASY INSTALLATION AND OPERATION. 4. CLOSURES SHOULD BE AIR-TIGHT, WITH A MOISTURE BLOCKING SYSTEM THAT PREVENTS MOISTURE FROM ENTERING THE CLOSURE THROUGH THE INTERIOR OF THE CABLES. 5. IT MUST BE MADE OF A NON-METALLIC MATERIAL, BLACK POLYMETRIC, RESISTANT TO FUNGI, WEATHER AND UV RAYS. 6. SPICE CLOSURES MUST BE REENTERABLE. 7. IT MUST HAVE THE OPTION OF BEING INSTALLED ON A POST, FOR WHICH IT MUST INCLUDE THE NECESSARY HARDWARE TO ATTACH THEM. 8. POSSIBILITY OF MAKING DERIVATIONS WITHOUT NEED TO CUT ALL THE FIBERS. 9. THE CLOSURE MUST BE EQUIPPED TO FACILITATE THE CONNECTION OF CONTINUITY TO GROUND AND BE ABLE TO GROUND THE METAL ELEMENTS OF IT AND THE CABLE. 10. CLOSURES SHALL HAVE AN AREA FOR FIXING THE CABLES, AN AREA FOR RESERVING THE LOOSE TUBES AND AN AREA FOR THE JUNCTION TRAY. 11.
