Description:
The work includes the underpinning of the support structures of the Winery building, this to reinforce the existing walls which are currently supporting the majority of the weight of the second floor. As well as the patching or repair of the most affected sections of wall. For To reinforce the foundations, it is proposed to create a strip of approximately 60 micropiles spaced approximately 1.0 m apart, varying their distance slightly in the areas where the bases of the frames will be placed. Reinforcing walls The objective of underpinning is to stop the movement of walls to limit the spread of damage. Once the displacement is controlled, the repairs can be made on the walls. For larger cracks, such as those located in Warehouse 2, structural mortar injection will be used, while smaller cracks, present in offices, Warehouse 1, photo library and confiscations, can be repaired by polishing and local plastering. Additionally, the reinforcement of the walls of warehouse 2 is contemplated, which support most of the load of the second floor and have been damaged by differential settlements. A masonry structure with rafon brick could support more than 45 tons per linear meter under the appropriate conditions such as the use of bricks with individual resistances greater than 1000 psi and with adequate confinement by means of columns, base beams or castles.
